Click Here for Affiliate Club Join/Renew
As a PDGA-affiliate Club, DGB passes along the $5 savings on new memberships and renewals. Note: They do charge a $3 handling fee either way online, so be sure to choose DGB in the dropdown if you renew online at the link above and you'll come out better than using the general online option.
2012 is going to be a great year for disc golf!!!
Note: joining pdga sometimes confuses people; some thinking by joining the PDGA they are also joining Disc Golf Birmingham, which in fact are separate organizations. PDGA is the world sanctioning body for the sport which provides player ratings, whereas DGB is the local area club supporting local courses. We'll announce shortly how to become a DGB club member and will be starting our 2012 membership drive at our yearly Ice Bowl in Feb 2012.

We will meet at the parking lot of hole 15 at the Carter Course. We will be cleaning up some trees from the storms and what ever else Danny and Jebb has on the punch list. lol
(Also, if you can't make it, please don't post up that you can't attend-it leads people to believe that you actually attend workdays).

Inverness Disc Golf Update |

Within the next few weeks we're set to start pouring tee-pads at the newest Birmingham course! While we can't promise an exact date of completion, we're hoping to have the course fully prepared for concrete next week.
Just to give everyone a sample of what they're going to see I wanted to highlight two of what we think will be signature holes. Hole 1 and Hole 18. Start strong, finish strong! Below is a "photo tour" of holes 1 and 18. Click on the images for a larger version! If your company blocks "dropbox.com" then you may not be able to see these images, try again from home!
Hole 1 Hole 1 will be a challenge right out of the gate. A true par 4, from the Blue tees players will face a controlled 220' uphill tee shot to a blind landing area, from there the fairway turns 45 degrees to the left and continues on to a blind protected basket 280' away. Players from the white tee will start at the top of the hill near the landing area and be faced with a straight to RHBH anhyzer 300' to the blind protected basket. All shots are guarded by a ravine to the right that will easily add at least one stroke to your score! While the starting hole won't overwhelm you with distance, it will make sure your accuracy is tuned in! Tight but fair fairways!
View from the Blue tee. The blue arrow shows the blind landing zone.

With the amazing support we've received from the city of Hoover and with Academy signing on we're going to have this course up before summer is over!

We've also received hole sponsorships from the following business, support them as well!
