I am about to graduate college and start my new job in Birmingham. I recently picked up disc golf and want to keep it going once I move. The town I live in now has a pretty big disc golf following. Is there any kind of bag tag leauge like this going on?

and I will be living off 280 behind the Fresh Market and working near the Brookwood mall, are there any courses real close to this area? Thanks and I look forward to hopefully meeting everyone.

Always good to hear another golfer is moving into the area! Welcome!

Yeah, there are two (really good, in my opinion) courses in the metro b'ham area. With another 8 within a 2 hour drive (North or East). You're pretty centrally located between the two courses, probably 15 mintues or so from each. I actually work right near Brookwood as well, in the 820 building (when you get off on the Brookwood exit from 280 you'll be straing right at my office). So if you need any help learning the back roads around the area le me know!

If you're going to be in town by then, be sure to check out our Mini on May 5th. Also, Sunday doubles is always a good way to meet the locals!

Hope to play a round with ya soon, welcome to b'ham!

Just wanted to welcome you to Birmingham. We need some more UGA Dawgs in this area. :) See you on the course.

Hey, Ktmartin (I didn't catch your name). My cousin Pete McPherson just played on UGA's DG team that won the "collegiate championship" in Augusta. Do you know him? He just started playing about last year when I took him for the first time. Welcome to Birmingham!

No, I don't know him, but I just found out that UGA even had a team. I wish I had known earlier. Oh, and my name is Kyle, look forward to meeting everyone.
