what time had you planned on going out there? I had planned on being out around 5:00 or so. Depends on how long our team meeting goes today :-P. I think Kris will be out around then as well.

PS. Dispite his dissapointment with the course, Kris will be at GW after work. Between 5-5:30pm.

give him a call.

Perhaps we should just keep all this under one thread or else there will be 1000 threads all about going out and playing golf.

Now we just need Justin to magically poof it as a sticky thread and delete the others.:D

As a forum admin (at other places), I hate it when one thread becomes the official anything. A single thread is a horrible place to continually post stuff over an extended period of time.

Why Brian, which thread could you possibly be talking about?

Several posts on several boards I maintain.

While i agree one thread would probably be the best, i know exactly what Brian is talking about. I had an old hobby website that ended up getting really popular and exceeded 5k in membership, static "put it all here" threadds don't work with large numbers.

However, we are small and I can probably turn on some kind of auto-pruning to remove old posts. I'll try messing around with it later!

Glad to see you are alive and conscious. Although that may be a relative term.

I am going to try and leave for Trussville at 4pm today. It all depends when the boss finally leaves.

Heading to Trussville today at 4ish. I should be out there by 4:30. I will have probably my two oldest boys with me.

Playing at Trussville this morning with Jeremy Drake and Scott Homberg from Chattanooga (in Birmingham on a biz conference) I did something that almost seemed unbelieveable.

I took a circle 3 on hole #7......

Think about that for a second and you will realize that only I could go OB on that hole and make a semi-amazing putt. And no, it was not from the Cahaba.

"Tiger"

lol, still impressive though, and yeah, you would definately be the only person to go in the water on that hole in the 1 ft wide creek 50 ft behind the basket

It's all skill.

I am just that good to over throw that hole with a midrange and land in "puddle" just bigger then a disc.

How did scott h. like the course, always like to here peoples opinions about it.
And what was yall's scores?

He liked it, thought it was challenging but enjoyed it. I don't know what his score was at the end of it but he was doing pretty well until 18 8-). I think he even took a 3 on 17. Kris shot a 60 and I shot a 56, very boring looking scorecard for me... 233343333333333353  . 17 looks a lot better with the fairway being cleaned up.

Tim Keith

A 56 isn't bad at all, i thought about starting a thread where people could post there scores from trussville so we could try and figure out what an average round would be out there. what do you think about that.

sounds like a good idea. Kris and I were thinking 59 as par our there (4s on 5, 10, 15, 17). To me 18 is still debatable, I think on those 5 holes it really does take 2 perfect shots to get on the green which I think in order for a hole to be a par 3 you would have to almost say you can reach the green in one probably 80-90% of the time, so in that respect I would call them 4s, but thats just one mans opinion and I'm not a course designer or expert

Tim Keith

that sounds about right to me, 18 is borderline for sure.
