For those of you who may not know here is a discription of the Tennessee Valley Tournament series.

This event was originally designed for people who haven't played many tournaments to get some tournament experience. It is NOT a sanctioned event, therefore there is a cash payout of up to 50% for all divisions.

It is only one round unless the course being played has less than 18 holes. This is to allow people to play a tournament round of golf and still have the rest of the day to enjoy however they like.

The Tennessee Valley Tour returns to Athens Sportsplex. With $250 in the ace pot. If no ace is hit that amount will be carried over to the next event. All baskets will be in short positions to encourage and ace!!

This will be the first event since the new T-Pads were poured and the permanent 19 holes added so come out and try the new footing on every hole.

Player sign-up ~8:00-9:30

Player Meeting 9:40

The round starts at 10:00.

All Pros $10
All Ams $5

One dollar to the Ace pot from all entries.
All other cash paid back out to each division.

TD: David Glass (256) 874-5870

In this tourney, what will be the course length? And, do you expect it to fill up (i.e., should an interested party sign up early)?
Thanks, Daniel

Daniel, check out the PDGA page for hole lenth info.

I'm pretty sure everything will be as short as possible for this tournament, and even then 7000+ kind of sounds like an overstatement. Its not a long course.

You should have no trouble signing up day of. This is only a one round tournament and i believe the turnout is typically in the 30's.

You are right Justin, all the baskets are in the short position and everyone will be playing from the short tees. I am not sure the course length of that configuration, but I would say it is less than 7000'. I believe that the TVT record is 39, no chance that this will fill up. Please join us for a good time on the 13th.
