To anyone interested (Jebb, Ricky, Michael, Viktor, Justin, et al),

Tracy and I are planning on attending the Tishamingo Ice Bowl Jan. 20, 21st in NE MS. It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive and we plan on staying in one of the cabins in the park for the weekend. We invite one and all of our new disc golf friends to come join us. The cabins are only $65 a night so if we shared expenses this could be a very cheap, fun weekend. For those that haven't played Tishamingo, it's a mostly short course with very well defined fairways and lots of rock outcroppings and hills to play around, really beautiful courses (two 18 holers.) Let us know if you would like to come along and/or stay with us once there...

Please tell me this isn't the weekend of the DGB mini...

Unfortunately i think this might be the only weekend in January we can do our DGB Mini. I'm still trying to figure that out. I really like Tish and need to get up there again soon!

EDIT: Actually I'm going to call about our tags when i get back in the office tomorrow. If they can have them in by the 13th and Viktor doesn't have a scheduling issue we'll go with the 13th.

If you make that happen Justin, I will have to add to the list of times I've said "Justin rocks..." Seriously though, I really didn't want to miss the mini, but a chance to spend a weekend in a cabin thinking about nothing but the great outdoors and disc golf is just too much for us to pass on.

Haha, we'll do our best. When Vik and i were picking a date we wanted late in the month but, we wanted to avoid Tish because we talked about if we went to an event that would be the one. Can't blame anyone for checking out that event, good stuff in Tish. Unfortunately the TVT ended up on the 27th, but hopefully the tags will be in by the 13th. I'll find out tomorrow!

If we want to get a second cabin it would have to be pretty quick, so if anyone has any interest let us know.

we are in florence (an hour from tish) and we are going to tish, normally theres a big crowd, we put in a new course there in 2006, it's a very scenic course, everyone should like it, their gonna play both in the ice bowl, hope you enjoy it,

Tracy will play women's if there is one (otherwise rec.) and I will play intermediate Am for now still. I'm going to stick with where I fall with my PDGA rating from now on.

Reminder... Tracy and I will have a cabin at the State Park (they house 4-6 normally) if anyone wishes to come up and play a very scenic course with us. I may be travelling alone later in the day on Friday (because of work) so it would be great if someone else were heading that way, just let us know.

Anyone?? Tish is 3 hrs versus 1 to Tuscaloosa I know, but seriously your chances of hitting the Ace Pot are tenfold.

I know all of the big arms are probably scared of playing on a short course like Tish, but there have to be a few other short throwers like me that might want to go. Just wanted to give this thread one last ditch effort at life before we head to Tish tomorrow.

For my winnings I received a plaque and three nice disc. I wish some of the B'Ham group could have made it! Maybe next year, ah?
