Well it is that time of year again and time for the 8th annual CC! This will be the first time that it will be held at the civitan park in Tville. Entries are as follows and 2 dollars will go to the SN as standard fees!

open 35
advanced 25
am 20

Kelly will be out there by 7;30 am and looking to start by 9:15 so, that both rounds can be played by dark! I think all advanced and ams will be getting a disc with there entry fee and more than a 100% payback!

Justin, could you send me the flyer you sent me last year and I will make sure they appear at the local courses. Thanks and hope to see everyone there.

Those coming from out of town my house will be open but it is about a 20 minute ride to Tville.

as always sponsors are very usefull so if you can please helpout!

Hey Bob,

The Tuscaloosa Disc Golf Club will sponsor a hole if you are still looking for sponsors. How much is it and what holes are available?

mpetre
12-12-2006, 01:50 PM
I would be interested in sponsoring a CTP or extra women's only prize if it won't break our bank. Anyone know of any women coming to play besides Tracy?

bobsatter
12-12-2006, 03:42 PM
Jay, That would be awesome and I will make you up a tee sign. Any amount is fine. Also call me if you need a place to crash. 587-1805

Not sure about any other ladies but, I hope so:p

Just talked with Chad Smith from Hville "past champ" and he interested in coming but, he is short on funds but has an awesome assortment of Rocs that he would sell. 9x Kc, San marino, Ontario rocs, USDGC rocs.... If anyone has an interest let me know and I will put you in contact with him.

Just got my Innova Xmas candy discs which is a Star Wraith with a very cool looking design on it. I will be giving it away as a CTP and I will search my stash for a few from years past to also use. Remember these are very rare and will go home with some lucky players;) "these discs are only given to dealers and team players"

See Ya all on Satterday! Bob

If anyone else is interested in sponsoring in anyway feel free to let me know so that I can make you a tee sign and, a big THANK YOU!!!

Can anyone think of anything that the course may need done to help with the event?

Justin, you got the Scorecards handled?

It's official, I will be playing. We are not participating in the basketball tournament. I will be playing advanced. Also, will you be offering a Junior division? If not, my son will play Am.

Plus $25 sponsorship!

Justin L
12-13-2006, 10:03 AM
Bob, I'll be there early with the scorecards. 50 should do it, right?

Also, what divisions will be playing which tee's? I'll put that on the back of the scorecard along with the rules.

From my expierence with the mini the only thing that i might recommend is to make a few "Disc Golf Tournament in Progress, Be Aware of Flying Discs!" signs and put them down past 11. With it being a beautiful weekend I'm afraid there will be a ton of people at the park and they tend to congregate down around 11.

Also, we played a round out there Sunday and it seemed to us that the Pro tee for hole #4 had been moved a bit to the left and back. This makes a much harder shot, which is fine, but I just wanted to make sure it was one of the course designers that moved it and it just wasn't some random person.

I would think if there was 3 or more juniors we would open the divison."I will make sure he gets credit for juniors points and such either way" Thanks for the sponsorship. What would you like on your tee sign fine Sir?

Justin, ams, juniors from the am tees. All others from the pros. 50 sounds good cauz me matt equals 200:} Number four felt that way when I played it myself but, we did play from the flags. TK or JT any input is fine by me otherwise I will make sure there are flags and the signs that you mentioned by 11. Thanks in advance for your help.

anything else???

For the sign, just put WWW.DISCGOLFBIRMIGNHAM.COM!

Tim Keith
12-13-2006, 12:08 PM
I moved the pro tee on 4, people kept moving it out to the left.
it is suppose to be on the edge of the woods to create a nice S shot for righties! Bob i am going to get out there and do a little trimming on hole 3 and down around 5, that tree that fell part of the way in the fairway needs to be cleared. I have not been out lately, to busy at work is that tree still in the fairway?

It was there as of Sun doubles. Richard broke off a few limbs.

As for the tee on 4, we wondered if that was you. Way to make it easier for the lefties! ;)

Just make sure you spell it correctly :D.

By the way, Vik, DGB the club has already sponsored, you should be given credit for your personal generosity. IMHO

It's ok, you'll still beat me.

If its any consolation I'm in Augusta today, which means I'll be stopping at Greene's on my way back through ATL tomorrow, which means we'll be feeling "Gaelic" come Saturday!

Oh God bless you! I'm sure you're already done taking orders but I have some green in my pocket that says maybe you're not. I will be Gaelic with you! Since the wedding I have been doing manly stuff around the house like sweeping, swiffering, cooking, etc. and this will be my first real venture outside the house. For a while there I felt just like Doug...Doug? Where are you?

Justin L
12-14-2006, 09:05 AM

I know i'll be coming back with a case (or two) of Gaelic and probably some random six packs of whatever seasonals they have....good times, good times.

Looks like Phil, Brian Thompson, and I will be heading over tomorrow to represent Tuscaloosa (all playing Adv). Jebb and Michael get those Wasted Birdie Gold Tags out, as it looks like Bag Tag's 1-5 will all be up for grabs. Looking foward to the tourney, see you guys in the morning.

If you need a place to crash on Sat. evening I don't think tracy or I would mind. In case you wanted to stick around for doubles at Ward Sun. :)

hey I meant to post on your board that Michael and I were willing to accept challenges for those tags. So nobody higher than #5 coming over eh?

We will probably be heading back after the tournament, but thanks for the offer Matt and Bob.

Jebb-

As of right now I don't think that anyone else has mentioned coming over. A lot of our guys are students that are finishing up with finals and more than likely heading home or are already there. That is good new for you though, as the only place for you to move is up!
