The TVT mini will be in Hartselle in a couple of weeks. Please join us for a round of singles play possibly followed by safari doubles. Play starts at 10:00 at Sparkman Park. Josh & Marla will be TDing, so look for many ctps and other extra prizes. $10 for pros, $5 ams. Very fun course with several chances for aces.

See you there.

Do you need to register before Saturday, or can you register the morning of the tourney ?

No need to preregiser. TVTs are very casual, very similar to DGB minis. Hope to see you there.

Sorry guys for being late on posting. I had a lot of issues to work out with local stuff. I'm just going to link to the Huntsville thread.

Suffice to say, we're hopefully playing doubles after the TVT Safari style. As usual we will find you a partner if you don't have one! You can play either the TVT or the Doubles or both.

I am going to be there as well. Justin, if you still need a partner, I'd like to pair up with you. I've only been playing since August so I doubt I can do much carrying though :D Should be fun, make sure everyone wears their longjohns !

Sounds good Marc, Have we met before? I'm so bad with names man...

We might have to play in a higher division but we'll have a good time no matter what...

I hate I am going to miss this. I have been a bit under the weather, don't think it will be a good idea to be out in the cold. That also means that I am going to miss the Hoover game tomorrow. :(

So how did the Hartselle mini go? Tracy and I played in a mini at Tupelo and had an OK time... We both played average (Tracy's upshots were superb and my putting was really good that day, but she was having problems short and I was throwing about 1/2 of my drives like I would in ball golf... ugh) and in about the middle of their pack of golfers. One of the guys in our group blew up outwardly when he made a 5 and that was a bit of a bummer (he was shouting expletives and bashing certain groups of people.) Overall I would have to say the folks we have here should be proud of the way they behave strangers and the mellow attitudes.

we managed to do ok at the TVT, it was a very well-run event by Josh and Marla, etc. Michael won 2nd advanced with -3 and I placed 8th adv with a +4 which somehow outscored Justin by a couple strokes  The singles winner was James (cant remember last name) with a -7. James was in my group, and I'd say he won by putting alone, made some killer 50 footers.

I'd say the very best part was the safari doubles in the afternoon, playing extremely long holes, often two or more holes away from the tee you were shooting from. Michael and I placed 2nd in doubles behind Steve and Ron, the self-proclaimed 'old guys' :) They shot a 59 and we had a 61 and we each tied for the 'deuce pot' (since aces were impossible). Both pretty good scores if you realized how amazingly long the safari setup was overall. Oh, and the double mandos 15-20 feet apart were KILLER!

It was a great day to play disc golf and a cool course which reminds me of a cross between Brahan and George Ward.

Not "old guys". Old Farts! I will use it in a sentence.

Jebb and Mike got beat by two Really Old Farts. (ROF's)
