So my friends and I were out playing Trusville this morning (by the way, for the guys who did work on Sunday, it looks great out there!) and we were wondering what is the average scores for everyone who plays there? Obviously it is going to vary as the skill levels do, but, what is everyone's normal round? Thanks a bunch.

I average 4 to 5 down.

My first 6 or 8 times out I did good to keep a +10 after holes 15-18 destroyed me, but now I'm playing somewhere around 5 or 6 up on a good day. You just have to keep after that course so it wont eat your lunch :)

I'm what I'd consider a low level "advanced" player or a high level "intermediate" player if you're familiar with divisions. I usually shoot around 1-2 down at George Ward.
At Trussville my best round is a 59 (5 over if you consider every hole a par 3....which they aren't!) and I'm by no means disappointed with a 62.

Great post. I was wondering the same thing myself. I'm definitely still a beginner (been playing roughly 4x per month for four months now). I have not yet broken +10 at GW. The first time I played at Trussville, I shot +33 (going in with +29 to hole 18!). The second time I played, I think I shot a +28...but it gets difficult to keep track when you are that far over. :o I guess I should be shooting from the am tees, but I enjoy the challenge.
My only 2 times playing singles, I have played a +6 and a +7.:(
Both times I was +1 when I got to #17 and things really went down hill from there.

I'm pretty new to DG, been playing for about a year total (only 3 months in the last couple of years though.) I usually shoot about +1 to +5 at Ward and the one time I played singles at Trussville I shot a +11 if that helps give you an idea. By the way... I've been playing a few rounds with just a Roc for practice and I think I may be throwing backhand as much as sidearm drives in the near future. Inspired by Mike, Tom and Ricky's play on Sunday, thanks guys... BTW, Tracy and I are both very dissappointed that we can't be at the tournament this weekend (or the night golf for that matter) and big "thank you"s to everyone for putting up with our boys this last Sunday (we don't have our son around much (lives with his father) so it was nice to share something we really enjoy with him. OK, i guess i may be digressing just a bit not really a thread as much as a wool sweater now...

Thanks for all the responses guys. It seems the running theme is that #17 and #18 are gimmies. :D

I've played Trussville 3 times and each time I get worse. I started at about 4 over and then went to 6 or 7 over.

I would give anything to play holes 17 and 18 at Civitan again.
You guys have no idea how lucky you are with courses like George Ward and Trussville.
