We are going to have a workday at civitan park on Sunday Nov. 19 to get the course spruced up for the 1 day mini tourny the following saturday.
We will be working on 17 and 18 mainly with a few odds and ends in other area's. i am looking to start around 9:00 am, lets get a good turnout for this the more we have the faster we can get done to play some golf. hope to see everyone there. Bring whatever tools you have, lopers, handsaws, chainsaws or whatever you have to work with.
TK
Tim,
I will bring a tiller if you think it would help for cleaning up the tee pads. We could do a little bit of the prep work for the next concrete pour.
I will also try to bring a heavy duty weed eater with a cutting blade and maybe a chain saw.
I guess you can tell I don't like non-power tools.:D
For making some bridges, I also have access to a couple of steel frames used for making industrial shelving. They are 12-15 feet long and 4 feet wide with cross bracing so that they would hold a couple of sheets of plywood. I am checking with the company to see if they will let me have them. I may need to get some help moving them from over in Tarrant to the course.
sweet! We pouring any tees? I'm certainly game for that too.

Bob, That's Joe and TK's call there. I'm not sure how the feel about having a "full fledged" tournament w/out the teepads finished. I'm looking forward to the CC wherever it is!

Not sure why it would be there call but....... If not we can have it at GW's as it is still an awesome venue for DG!!!!

Have it at trussville, it needs some tourny play on it, you don't need all the tee pads to have a tourny on it. I have played in plenty of events without tee pads.

That's awesome Jebb....dangerous...but awesome..haha.
I just posted this to the front page:
We have a scheduled work day this Sunday at Civitan Park in Trussville. This will be in preparation for our DGB Mini on the 25th as well as the possible Christmas Classic in a few weeks. Work will begin at 9:00 a.m. and will continue until lunch.
Since everyone will be in Trussville for the work day we've decided to reschedule our weekly DGB doubles to Trussville and move the time back to 2:00 p.m. This should allow anyone that mistakenly goes to George Ward to make it to Trussville in time for doubles!

Jabba go 59 north to exit 141, that will be the trussville/pinson exit.
go right off the exit about 1 mile you will turn left on oak street, there will be a sign on the main road that says senior citizen center pointing to the left just follow that sign. anyway after you turn on oak street you will come to a 4 way stop, go straight through the 4 way. go about 2 tenths of a mile and you will see the entrance to a big open field on the right, that is where it starts. real easy to find you will see hole 1 that starts in front of the senior citizens center.

Not sure why everyone says to go to the second Tville exit but, you can get off at Hwy 11 and go right to you get to the park on the left. The other exit is 5 miles farther besides you will be going right by my house so, you better pick me up!

unless you really need them, I already have those!
By the way how much of 18 will be altered? I hope not to much as this course could lose its bite if to much is taken down. PLEASE if the course is to hard play from the AM tees. I made it thru the other day with only one bogey and that was on hole 15. Still was only my second time under par! par=54:D

Bob nothing major, just cleaning up the fairways where it is starting to sprout up from the roots and taking out some of the stumps. also it is faster to go to the second exit because you don't have to deal with the traffic on 11.

I certainly didn't buy it just for this! My back yard is in need of a new path for the mach2new for starters :)

Family emergency in Mountain Home Ark....will not be able to make it this weekend. SO much planning but the Mother-in-law has been hospitalized
and I need to be responsible (if that's not something).
I will make it over there to help out and play....it may just be a couple more weeks tho.
See ya soon

Yeah, the course was a lot of fun Sunday. I find myself dreaming of routes on 17 most nights. Sorry Tracy and I couldn't help with the course work, but with two ADHD twelve year olds we decided to spare the group.
