Well, the weekend has ended and I can honestly say that I'm already looking forward to next year. With over 550 golfers this has to have been one of the largest disc golf tournaments ever. You couldn't go anywhere in town without seeing PDGA stickers and such. The atmosphere is worth the trip up to Bowling Green alone!
Congratulations to the Alabama golfers who represented our state well. Zach Easterling and Arnette Jones made the finals of Advanced Men. Karen Jaskolka made the finals for Advanced Women and came in second overall!
The Birmingham crew both came in around mid-pack. We swapped bad days with Kris having his on Saturday, and myself having one on Sunday (falling from 44th to 80th). Check out the full results here (http://www.pdga.com/tournament/tournament_results.php?TournID=5466&year=2006&includeRatings=0#advanced).

Well, my trip to Bowling Green just got a bit more expensive. I took my car in yesterday because one of the tires wouldn't hold air (figured i had a nail or something). No......apparently i ran over something on the way back Sunday night and bent the inside of the rim. Gotta have a whole new rim. The bad news is my car is so new that they don't have any rebuilt ones, so its gotta be a BRAND new one....$400 i didn't plan on spending...lol.
Ah well.....The trip was still worth it :)

And to think, you thought being schooled buy +100 of your closests friends was payment enough? :D
Bummer about the car man. Not to make you feel bad but I just received a $500 check to cover my travel expenses for work. And with that I am buying a new set of tires. My tires are about as bald as Vik's head.

lol, yeah....I need new tires too. That'll have to wait for next month.
Ohh..If you're not adverse to ordering tires and having them shipped to a tire place you can get some great prices at http://www.1010tires.com I've ordererd from them before, you just find a tire place that will allow you to ship them to them and then order and have them shipped right to the tire place. They're not to pissed becuase they make most of there money off labor anyway.
