When should the DGB Mini Tournament include Trussville?

I'm ready to see some tournament golf @ Trussville, BUT the DGB Mini's are meant for first time players. What is the general consesus? Have we got these new players hooked yet? or should we nurse one more tournament at ole George?

If Trussvile gets chosen I will do my best to get out on the fairways of 2, 17, 18 one day beforehand with a blade and take out all the little scrub that has started growing back up, assuming this is cool with everyone.

I vote for Jan. One more good one then move to Trussville. I would also play the am tees in Trussville for a DGB mini.

I started yesterday doing some work on 17 and 18, we need to have a workday soon to do some clearing. I think 2 needs the most work, if we get a good crew we could knock it out in a day. Also if anyone wants to go out and do some clearing on there own that would be great, we don't have to have a work day scheduled for work to be done. Dennis Otts, and ultimate player hauled all that privot on 18 out to the road by himself plus donated a$1,000 worth of lumber to build benchs and bridges with. So if anybody has some free time on there hands please go out and do so work on 2, 17 and 18.
I know it's hard to go out there and not play, but this is the only way it is going to get done, every little bit helps.

I voted for T-ville. We can show some folks a different looking course. Also with the am pads it can be toned down for Am's. AND it might light a fire for us to get some improvements done. I know I have not done my part yet.

I vote for Trussville but we still got a lot of work to do on it. I have nearly completed the rock trail from #2-#3. After I finish it I want to work on the trail from #17-#18. I am gonna have to clear it out a bit and I want to do the same thing that I did with the other trail by lining it with rocks on each side.

Just wanted to bring this to the top, 1 month till the next mini.
Looks like T'ville is ahead in the polls! course is looking good :)
tee signs will be up, a little bit of trimming and it should be good to go!
I want to have a work day when joe and me get back from the USDGC.
We should be able to get 2, 17 and 18 looking pretty dang good in a day if we get a good group out. what does everyone think?

Just to let anyone know, you can go out anytime and do some work, it doesn't have to be a scheduled work day, just feel free to go out and do what you can. if you are not sure what to do you can call me and i will let you know. 222-7792. It is mainly clearing the privot that is starting to grow back on the fairways of 2, 17 and 18, plus joe and me were talking about the right side of 18's fairway towards the end on the right, may opening it up a little wider.
