Has anyone ever thought of playing a tournament in a parking deck?

Use each level of the deck as a hole, maybe up 10 floors and down the other 10 for 20 holes, something like that?

I dunno, just drove past a few decks today and thought it could be neat. :D

I'd be up for it. I've had similar thoughts in the past. The idea of "urban" disc golf. In parking decks, on roads, hell, in shopping malls even. :) My idea was probably a bit more guerilla than what you have in mind. Because, unless you're going to rent out an entire parking deck ($$$$), it would be a matter of setting up baskets on the fly and just going for it. One van or truck with some portable baskets and a couple of cars with the players. A basket is set up, the players play the hole, you take the whole thing down and everybody hustles to the next hole. I think it would be a great thing to do as sort of a disc-golf "happening". If we were to do something like this, though, we'd HAVE to film it so we could youtube it. (Masks for the shy). Let me know if you take any steps toward this idea. I'd be glad to help.

Haha, the thought of 4 or 5 of us wandering around downtown in masks with hurling disc is hilarious. Well, up until the point the police drive by.

Remember the guys who did that in Europe a few years ago.? They set up mini baskets in famous and historical spots and played until they were run off.

I like the idea of a mini course at various downtown spots. Several come to mind. Could go a long ways towards piquing public interest as well, assuming we don't act up ;)

I've played night golf at least two nights a week for the past few weeks, does that not count?

Speaking of night golf I was thinking of that for here in LR but our course is dead dark at night. Park closes at night so no street lights and no glow from the city as we are a bit away. Maybe that would make it easier to find well lite disc.
