Thomas- The Am doubles is at USA, not Muni. Does this mean you will not want to play?
Justin & Viktor- Have you guys decided if you are going to play, and if so, I assume you will be partners?
Hannan- Did you tell me you might know of an Advanced player who needs a partner?

I think Vik and I were just going to kinda play it by ear. We wanted to see as many courses as possible on Friday and if it meant sacrificing doubles then that was fine. However the fact that the doubles is "play when you show" helps alot. If i had to guess i'd say we're about 75% in...as far as partners go we had talked about it but nothing firm.
Are you coming down with us Friday morning or heading down Thursday night?

75% about sums it up for me. If we decide to play and Michael can't find a partner, I can partner with Will Corey in INT.

Guys,
There are only two divisions, Am and Advanced with no age protections. Not sure if there are any gender protections. If we get an early enough start, though, we should not have any problem hitting the Bogue, then Chickasaw (the two that you will most deffinitely want to preview and play a practice round at) and then heading over to USA for doubles. We can wind up the day by taking a look at Muni and maybe taking a few practice throws there. The Pros will be playnig their doubles at Muni between 2pm and 5pm, so we might have to stay out of their way. But we can at least walk around and get a good look at it without interfering w/Pro doubles. Michael and I discussed it, Sunday, and we should have plenty of time to play two leisurely rounds before heading to USA. That's assuming we can start at the Bogue no later than about 8:30 or 9:00.
Michael,
I've been thinking that maybe we can carpool down there Thursday night and save a few $$ in gas costs. I'm free to leave as early or as late as you want. I know that you said that you might have to work Thursday night. That wouldn't be a problem. Last time I drove down there and back it ran almost $100 in gas.

This will be very casual. There will be someone at the locations listed below to take your money and hand you the scorecard. Tee off when you wish with at least one other group. 100% cash payout for pros. 100% prize payout for amateur divisions.
Pro doubles will be at Muni with the Big Boy layout in place. Register at the Pavilion. Tee off between 2 and 5:30 ... BYOP/Best Shot/$20 per team. Divisions will be Men and Women only
Am Doubles will be at USA regular layout. Register at Hole 15. Tee off between 2 and 5:30 ... BYOP/Best Shot/$15 Advanced Teams/$10 Intermediate Teams.Divisions will be Advanced Men, Advanced Women, Intermediate Men and Intermediate Women.
If one person on the team is playing in the tournament in a higher division you must compete in the higher division. If we have co-ed teams they must compete in the Men's division.

Looks like I will go down on Thursday if I can get in touch with the guy I am staying with.
Richard- I have to work until almost 10; I doubt you want to leave that late. Even so, I am staying with people in the open division so I assume I will need my car. I would love to save on the gas as well but I don't know if it will make sense.
As far as partners go, I guess I will call Thomas and find out what his deal is. Dr. Disc was trying to convince me to convince you guys to skip the doubles and practice instead. I am torn. I like playing doubles but USA is the only course I have played down there. I might be interested in spending more time at the other courses?
