Just wondering if anyone else has found any ticks on them after a round at GW lately. Second one in a month here. Guess its time to ask the doc for a Lyme Disease (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyme_disease) test next checkup since the ticks are out in full force this year and I've had at least 6 or so in 2008.

the only place I went into the woods was to take a leak next to the pad on hole 12.

You shot a better round than i did then...lol.

I haven't had any ticks at GW lately and haven't seen on Lily, but she doesn't get many anywhere really.

regardless of where the tick came from, I'm getting some of this stuff for the disc golf clothing - especially going into Heflin

Permethrin is intended to use only on clothing. If applied directly to the skin the body breaks it down into harmless amino acids. Once you put it on your clothing it is supposed to be good for several washing.
I read one article about the military having it applied during the manufacturing process of uniforms and it last for close to 100 washings.
Just be careful when applying it. The vapors have some nasty side effects if inhaled.
It is HIGHLY toxic to cats and aquatic life. It is used in some dog insect sprays but will cause toxic shock if used on cats. Cats can even pick it up from walking on clothing that has been treated. Do not treat clothing that you intend to wear into lakes or streams.
Even with all of the warnings Permethrin appears to be one of the best and safest products on the market for protecting you from all of the nasty little creatures out to get you.

Just spray some OFF or whateaver around yourself. Especially your shoes ,socks ,beltline and shirt. Be sure to re apply before the second round. I spray my head also.
