but i shot my best round at george ward... a 81.
i'm finally starting to drive with some consistency and hitting putts. it feels good to not suck, even for one day.
relatively speaking, of course.
i'd also like to thank my new buzzz. i think we're going to get along just fine.

Don't worry, your time will come. You started playing just as I left Birmingham so I never met you, but if you are playing as much as it seems between GW and Trussville, and you are hanging out with all these guys you will soon get a lot better.
Buzzz is the shiz! My favorite Midrange to date...although the Wasp is holding a really dear spot in my heart.
hey not bad, I shot an 82 today on 24 holes - one of my worst lately :(

actually we did meet once. probably like jan or feb when i was just starting. i didnt know who you were until later.
i'm sure i'll eventually graduate to a more overstable midrange but the buzz just kind of goes where i want it to. i definately like it better than my roc or goblin. they didnt even leave the bag today.

You'd be surprised how many top level players throw a nice flat top buzzz. It's all about knowing your plastic. For me personally the buzz is just to fast, I can't seem to nail in a distance with it, which is why i throw the slower roc's.
Grats on the new best round!

i hear you justin. i had the opposite problem. i thought my roc just wasn't going as far as i wanted it to... usually my putter worked better at that distance. the buzz goes further with less effort.
on the negative side, if i accidentally throw it high it stalls and drops like crazy. the roc is a little more forgiving.

Yep, the buzzz is just a faster Roc basically. The Element by Gateway is a good median between the two.
I really like Rocs, but at the speed which I throw, DX or KC plastic does not last much more then a few months, and Champion Rocs are just too expensive. That is why I throw a Z-Buzzz.
And I will scour a flymart for Flat 178g Z-Buzzzes. One day I borrowed money from three different people just to get enough to buy one.
PS...Flat Buzzzes are more stable then domey Buzzzes. All First Run Buzzzes are Flat and more stable. And once a flat top buzzz beats in, it turns into a very sweet turnover midrange. The turn is similar to a San Marino Roc.

You will know your a good player when you can throw it nose up on purpose and get it to fade drastically to bend around an obstacle.:D
Just ask Jeremy Drake.....oh wait, he stopped playing once he took the #1 bag tag.

dude you are brutal. i would say "poor tiger" but considering how far he drives i'm not really finding any compassion. nope, none there.
my buzz is an esp. i am not sold on the "ultimate durability" of esp yet, but i do like the grip.
i actually bought one of those "2nd first run" buzzes but haven't thrown it yet. had a little extra dough and thought the white on white one looked cool.

HA! How far he throws....Tiger can't touch me in distance LOL. The only thing he had on me was a short game, but now I have been playing these Mid-Atlantic courses where it is all about short game and putts, I have a better all around game since him and I played last. I would like to play against him over Labor Day weekend when I am home, but he probably has a soccer game or someother excuse to not play. I will even buy a bag tag if I get the chance to play against him. Heck, if the #1 tag would go to N. Virginia it would probably get more challenges there then in Drakes hand.
Yeah, I totally agree about the ESP durability deal. Being that it is a blend of Z and X plastic, it is harder to make it more durable. It is the same way as Innova's Star plastic, the Tee Rex holds up well only because it is so over stable.
Haven't checked out the 2nd 1st runs yet. I have a couple original 1st runs in plastic in the closet, and last I hear, you could get almost $100 for one. I think I will wait a few more years to ponder selling them.

Too bad we'll be in Mobile on Labor Day weekend. I would like a chance to humble the new and improved Kris Allen.
Seriously, though... You should think about playing in the Southern Nationals if you are going to be here anyway.

Southern Nationals events....and Mobile courses are things I am not willing to travel for.
Now if I am playing in a tournament, and it happens to be a SN event, then that is fine. Or if I am in Mobile by chance and have time to play I will stop by Cottage Hill.
I am driving 11 hours to see my wife over labor day weekend. An additional 3 hours just to go to Mobile, eh, I'll pass.
Yeah Jeremy, you need to do something about sitting on that tag.....At least give it to TK or something.

Yeah, Tom told me that you were coming down to move your wife up to DC. I guess that would rule out playing disc golf. Sorry we won't be able to play when you are here, I will be coming to DC in early Octoberr. I will be in touch.

I got a call yesterday from the infamous Jeremy Drake. He was at Notre Dame this weekend, but will be in town next.....when I am there!
I do not know who is selling them, but I will buy a bag tag just to challenge Jeremy for it. And don't worry, when I win the #1 tag...it will not leave the state of Alabama.
I will be rolling into Birmingham, early on Saturday morning. Perhaps a traditional 10am round is in order? The wife will understand.
I am just visiting this weekend. The weekend of the 15th I am moving.
