I don't know the state of the courses down south, but Steph and I are making a one day trip to Mobile/Destin. Which courses would you guys suggest I try and play down there. I'm leaving at like 8 in the morning. Thanks

Scratch that. Slight change of plans. Instead of going on thursday, we're going on friday. And instead of going to Mobile we're going to Atlanta. So aside from Reden, what courses should I try and hit up.

I have also heard that Merriweather is pretty good too.

The Atlanta road trip went quite well. We played a total of three courses in our little one day excursion: Reden, Lenora, and Deerlick. We (and by we and mean myself and Stephanie) started with Reden. We were both very impressed by the course. No real long bombs needed but a nicely designed course with plenty of tight fairways. I shot a 3 down with 6 birdies and 3 bogeys, including a water hazard on 16 :-P. Very pretty and of course we have a few pics. We then traveled another 35 minutes east to play Lenora. Talk about a long course. Most everything was near 400ft, but VERY wide open. A great course for long arms ;-). I'm impressed a few locals by nearly parking the slightly uphill number 6 and proceded to shoot a 5 down with no bogeys. The wind played a big factor here as I used my "too light" 168 CFR wraith to push against the wind and hold the line. After an hour commute back west we stopped at Deerlick. This is a very short course with only 9 placements and two tee pads per hole. It was pretty hard to find all the tee pads so I only played 9 holes (by this time Steph was pretty tired and was done throwing, though she improved considerably and its only a matter of time before she starts playing tournaments ;-). All in all it was a great one day trip with perfect weather. Of the three courses, probably with no suprise I would rank Reden at the top. My next venture is to Mississippi. I'll probably do this sometime in May, so if anyone is interested, just give me a call.
