So I have only played 2X, but have been talking about it enough that my wife got me a driver and a putter/approach-er for my birthday. I'd like to go to the Civitan park this afternoon/evening aroung 5:45 to play a round. Is anyone here going to be there? How crowded/busy will it be? Thanks.

trussville will not be crowded, there are generally a few folks out there in the afternoon.

Great to hear man! Unfortunatly alot of us downtowners don't make it over to Trussville during the week alot, the traffic is just to bad.

You should make it out to Sunday doubles sometime. All skill levels welcome and its a great way to meet some of the local players/pick up a few pointers!

I appreciate the info, I've thought about it before. What time does it get going on Sunday?

Myself/Viktor are usually there to start signups around 1 o'clock. The round starts at 1:30 and usually finishes up before 4. We do 1st, 3rd, & 5th Sundays @ Georege Ward and 2nd and 4th at Trussville.

If you ever want to come out for just a casual round the "assumed" morning tee time is usually 10 a.m. on weekends, although this is more for GW than Trussville.

Nice gift. So what brand/models did the wife hook you up with?

She got some recommendations from a friend who plays and got me an Innova Champion Valkyrie and Innova Aviar P&A. They look like they'll be perfect for me as a beginner. What do you thinK? Did she do good?

If the driver is too heavy , it will hook off hard to the left, not your fault.
