I would like to point out that a one mr. kris allen who accused me of being a bagger after my "1000" rated round at athens shot a 1020 today at am worlds (now he then followed up with a 919, but thats beside the point). He currently sits tied for 11th in his group and around the mid 30s overall. Good job kris, keep it up and get another road report goin

Jeremy,

Your still a BAGGER! lol.

Yeah that 1021 round was pretty sweet, but I took bogeys on two very easy duece holes. One was 390ft, I launched a buzz up and left into the tail wind, and it landed almost 40ft behind the basket and OB. (And yes, there was no elevation change).

Right now, they have done the shuffle, and I am sitting 22nd overall only 3 strokes out of 10th. My 2nd round (Dovillio) where I shot the 921 rated 59, I was 5 over par after the first 4 holes. It was a mental struggle.

I managed to bring it back together yesterday, shooting decent rounds. But my 4th round, I started at Hunter Park. I was on a 157ft down hill hole that fades to the right and you have to throw over a canopy of trees to get to the basket. Well, everyone was throwing Tomohawks, and I decided to let one rip, and BAM! Aced the first hole. Right now there is currently 8 aces in the ace pot which is sitting just over $2700.

But for now, it is all about having fun. We got a killer players pack which included the small Revolution bags and a dry-fit polo shirt. Combined with that and the ace pot I am coming out ahead on this deal. We tee off in 2 hours for our 5th round, and the 6th round at Mohawk Black (the hardest course) is tomorrow morning.

Thanks for the support guys.

Congrats on the ace Kris. I have been following on the PDGA website. Keeps shooting low--look forward to hearing all about it in one of your infamous novel-like posts.

Good luck

Worlds is over and I am back in the land of Fairfax, VA.

Overall I would say it was an incredible experience, which everyone should experience. The Tulsa guys/club really make you feel at home, and the best part is that we eat/drinked/slept disc golf the entire week, and amazingly enough I am not burned out or sore. I am dissapointed that I have to be at work at 6am tomorrow morning, my time in fantasy land is now over.

I really wish there was a huge big story about big/major blow ups, complete disasters or tournament rolls. But there is really not much.

I did miss a 4ft putt though. Apparently the new Innova Discatcher Pro baskets are designed for when you strike the bottom ring of the inner chain set the putter bounces clear back at you. It was really dissapointing because I ran at a 50ft putt and hit cage and laid down beside the basket. I picked up the disc and tossed in the basket when it bounced right back at me. My entire group just stood there stunned, it was basically the same thing that happend to Barry at USDGC.

I am very dissapointed with my 2nd, 5th, and 7th rounds, if it was not for those I would have easily been in the top ten.

Blackhawk (rounds 6 and 7) is a top notch course. It really challenges all aspects of your game, and that 49 which was shot on Friday is truly incredible. It is out there, but you have to pure all 18 holes. And one is a 715ft long 50ft wide (max) which curves through the woods. It is a beast of a hole. Friday I took a 3 on it, and Saturday I took a 5. There were people taking scores as high as 8.

I have been up since 6am on Saturday morning, so I am exhausted. Anything anyone else would like to know, they can go ahead and ask me. I will respond. So sorry, there is no novel like post this time.

TULSA GUYS CLUB?

What were you doing over there in OK? I thought it was a disc golf tournament.

Seriously, congrats on your experience. I'm glad you had a great time. I hope to play in it soon. I'll be in the DC area coming up in September or October. I will give you a call.

Ha ha, very funny. I know you knew what I meant when I said it.

I am friends with a few of the guys in Tulsa, and the hospitality they gave us was incredible. But I was also including the rest of the Tulsa Disc Sport Assoiciation in my thank you because they put on one heck of a show. And they definately redeemed themsleves from the stigma of the 1985 Pro Worlds.

I just want to reiterate the point that it makes me very proud to come back home and see all the support from my homey's back in the Ham. I saw the emails and this thread and it was great.

I also got calls from a bunch of my co-workers (many of them disc golfers) who told me they had never tracked an Am tournament before but did it for this Worlds just to watch me. And they actually had a good time tracking the tourney.

Even though I was not very proud of what I shot, being that 3 out of the 7 rounds I felt were utter and total crud, because I know what I left out on the course. But seeing that everyone else was proud of what I shot, I am happy and it makes up for my personal dissapointment.

Thank you again for the support, you can watch my last Am tournament September 8th through the 10th at the USADGC Am Nationals up in Michigan. I heard from the TD for that event and I earned a spot with my finish at Worlds.
