During a business trip to Kansas City this week, I didn't think I would have time to play so I left my discs at home, big mistake, as the saying goes, never leave home with out it! Time did permit me to play so I found Disc Golf World and met Rick Rothstein, '87 Hall of Famer, store owner and publisher of the magazine of the same name. What a great guy!, he spent a lot of time with me discussing the game, discs, playing tips and strategy. He also told me to tell Tom Monroe "hello!" Anyway, I bought a couple of discs and went to play Water Works Park at his suggestion. All i can say is if you are in KC you got to play it! The first tee box provides a striking view of the KC downtown skyline, very, very hilly throughout the course. You're constantly throwing up and down very steep hills. Better be in pretty good shape too to walk the course. If you're ever there go by and see Rick and play Water Works.

PS: The DGW web page boasts of over 10,000 discs in stock, they're not lying, Rick took me in the back, you can't imagine what 10,000 discs stacked in nice rows looks like! He threw me a towel to wipe the drool off my chin.
