Just a thought... why not have them on Sunday during football season? I know I'll be in Ttown for all the home games.
the thought crossed our minds but check out the calendar, this date was pretty much the only opening in Sept (including Sundays) that didn't conflict with another event within driving distance.

Looks like we might be getting some AUM players up here for the mini. BTW, one of them told me how "interesting: the recent drama of the tags has played out. We all have to remember that this Forum is a selling point for our club and our sport. When new players or prospective buyers read this thing, we need to show them a positive bunch of players.
Let's keep the bickering and cussing to private messages.

This is shaping up to be quite a good little mini. Several of the Huntsville and Athens players are coming and, despite the football conflicts (kick-offs are at like 2:30pm I think) we should have a good group. I hope some of the T-town and Mobile/Montgomery players can make it.
Our last mini had a great turn-out (in the pouring rain) and it paid out handsomely.
The tournament layout for this, Mini #7, should be established by the 15th of Sept. So, come out and practice.
Tentative college football kickoff times as of this post:
AL vs GA 3:30PM
AU vs NM St 6:00PM
DISCGOLF in the AM, FOOTBALL in the PM :D

Here is the layout we will be using for this mini:
#1: middle
#2: middle
#3: left
#4: straight middle
#5: middle
#6: straight middle
#7: short rightish
#8: short
#9: short
#10: straight long
#11: short, back (behind the log)
#12: middle
#13: right (in the field)
#14: long (new position)
A, B, C, and F stay where they are
D and E: short
#15: left, on the "island"
#16: far left
#17: short
#18: left
This should create a fun yet challenging course for all levels of play.
...and from what Ralph tells me the course is now in this setup :)

This might be a good time to sign up for the Ace Race. The first players packs could be here by then.

Looks like the football games will definitely not interfere !
AU vs NM St -- 6:00 pm
AL vs GA -- 6:45 pm
Looking forward to it !
2 rounds could have worked, but I'm sure people want to watch more than just AL and AU ;)
Pass the word, if there are more than 3 Int ladies a mini basket will go to the winner!

Its great in the digital age that i will be simaltaniously be working and playing.:D

We have the pavilion "reserved" so we will be running the mini from there. This means that 16 will be moving back to the long left position. This move will only happen Friday evening/Saturday morning, so if anyone wants to parctice to that tournament position, go right ahead. But make the mando and try to stay out of the pavilion. During the tourney, if you throw into the pavilion you will only be hitting the TDs, but until Saturday, you may hit angry park-goers. They don't like that. :)
Looking forward to a great turn-out and getting 3 Int. women should be no problem as I already know of 2 or 3 that are playing. (So the mini basket prize should be a sweet prize for that pool).
See you all out there.

TK you dont have to shave your legs or wear a skirt to play int womens:D, but if youve got what it takes, I might want to do more than play golf with you big lefty. If I do win it I prob could be talked into a trade for it for those signs i need for my car. I bought Karens 3rd one off her at Tish so I have one. You should see Mr. Sippi when all the minis are flying. They are a neat little toy for the living room, I can see even more fun when winter arrives and its dark after 5:(

Is there a drop ZONE when someone misses the mando? I noticed on hole E that there was not one if you missed it. In the old days you had to unwind, ie. throw back and thru the mando in order to correctly play the hole.
not sure Ralph but............................................... .

hmm, thats a good question. Since its a new hole I don't think there was any real thought into a drop zone. I would say (to help avoid having people just throw into the pavillion again) we have a drop zone. Maybe from the little road that runs through the fairway?
Ralph and I will discuss and lay one out - right off the bat the road or behind the bushes on the hill come to mind.
How did you guys get a picture of my prom date?
You would be amaized at what you can find on Iwanttobeyourbitch.com:D
Rumor has it that you were selected most likely to be had at GW park after Midnight.
True or not true?

Bob what have I done that you wont answer me, I lost that beautiful disc that you gave me last time. does my game suck so bad that im not worth your time or even answer here? I enjoyed our day at golf. You seemed to. I thought we had an agreement or 3. I want your rocs, I want the keys, I want to be gifted or pay you for your 3 baskets, if you make me put a big post of quotes, I can put where you have promised me all three of those things, but yet have I been given any love, and Bob Im pulling for you to be a good side....and this is after I spoke to the shawn sinclair this weekend. We are all human I know I am. Remind me to tell you about the unwise thing I once did in Ft, Payne. Please get with me bc I promise ifyou bring me the keys and the rocs, I will take care of you primo, you know Im good at my word and I dont want to nag like your wife at 8 am. I heard I just missed you today. Why not call me when your coming, or do you not care for my company after all my honesty, bc I enjoyed your company. But cest la vie!!!

Most players have just played from the side of the mando tree. We could run a spray paint line out from the tree on both holes.

but then its just a 50 ft jump putt to the basket. then again this is an am tourny, so that might make it a bit more interesting. Some great circle 3 saves. (though for the pro division I would have a seperate drop zone)

This could have been a "C" tier easy
why would you want a one round event to be a C tier??? seems like it is more benifical to keep it a club event then to give money to the PDGA for one rated round and a couple of points???????? Maybe SN as you get more for the $2 ;o]
Nice showing and Tiger, way to play!!!!!!
