So my pal Ben S. and I are playing George Ward late Wed. and as we walk up to 18 Ben comments on the players in front of us "They better hurry up so I can get my ace and get out of here".
You know the rest. He's a lefty, so 18 is really a matter of clearing a couple of trees on the left and slicing back in. He hits it perfect...when he threw I see it hit near the tree, reach down in my bag and then... ching. Ben naturally goes nuts. Skip ace, no doubt. I had thrown a sharpie in my bag for just such occasions (million monkeys, shakespeare, you know). and there it was. we signed his brand new wraith he'd bought from Tom last week and Ben called damn near everyone he knew. I thought he might call his mom for a minute there.
I did comment that he wrote it too big on the back. there's probably only room for like 1 more. And based on today I think he's going to be a case study on the durability of star plastic cause he's going to throw that disc at every opportunity.
It was cool. It didn't affect my terrible round other than he bought me some beers afterward.
