Well, those of you who know me pretty well are going to get an ironic chuckle out of this.
Yesterday I visited the the HQ office to fill out paper work and officially signed the offer given to me.
I am now a proud employee of the Coors Brewing Company! Yep, this old drunkie is going to be working in a Brewery.
Actually I am going to be working in the can production plant/warehouse as a Warehouse Specialist. Basically I am second in command during the shift, and am responsible to make sure we meet production quotas. There is another name for the facility I am working at, Rocky Mountain Metal Container Corp, as Ball Container company has their fingers in the ownership of the division. Our facility is the largest supplier of metal cans in North American, producing approximately 4.5 Billion cans per year.
I start on the 23rd, and part of my first day planned agenda is to meet up with my boss and have some beers during lunch. And there is actually a tap for Coors and Coors Light in the break room for employees. One of the many killer benefits and perks of working for Coors is that I can purchase up to 9 cases of beer per month at Wholesale. That works out to approximately $7-8.00 per case. You can kiss my sobriety good bye. My neighbor and I are going to be perpetually drunk. We already go through 9-10 cases a month together.
And the best part is that I am making the same amount of money I was making in DC, adjusted for cost of living! I am gonna be rollin' in it. Time to buy myself a motorcycle!
