Well, I'm back from Michigan with a little less plastic and a lot more humility. I had an amazing time and am looking forward to being more competitive next year. The course we played was unbelievable, both amazingly difficult and amazingly fun to play. I met some great people from all over the map. I can see why Detroit Bill loves living in that area. I am going to try and figure out how to upload the pictures I took. Unfortunately I am not a very good picture taker. Mostly, I just carried the thing around and forgot to get it out. The ones I took turned out pretty well, excepting the ones on the last day in the late evening. I hope that viewers of the pictures can zoom in on some and find the tee pads and the baskets from the extreme elevation differences. I look forward to telling everyone about it in person.
Thanks to everyone for being interested in my crazy excursion. We have to take a group of Alabamians next year.

I love Toboggan!

That is probably my favorite course in existence right now. I wanted to go to DGLO so badly because the pros played Toboggan and Monster.

I see that the first round kicked your ass a little bit. I forget if it is #7 or #8, but it is around the back of the course, and they are the two toughest holes in sequence. I lost 4 strokes on those two holes the first round. The second one of the two starts out as a tight shot through a few trees.

#17 killed me on the last round. I turned over my second shot, where I was easily set up for a 3 and ended up with a 6.:eek:

Holy crap! The winner shot a 55 the first round? That's nuts. He must have played that course many times over.

You will never have more fun getting spanked and humiliated around a course until you play toboggan. It is long, but it really does not favor big arms, because the risk/reward is higher the further you CAN throw.
