Ok, here is my plan. I'm looking for feedback.

The Date:
Saturday, July 22nd. or Saturday July 29th. I know the first date is the SNDC in Wall Doxey, but judging by some of the feedback on this event I don't think anyone from the area is going. We might loose a few people, but I'm really interested in getting the non-tournamount players out for this one. The second date is the same weekend as the Am Fox Hunt in Hatiesburg (INT only) and a possible event in Florence.

The Time:
Registration 9 to 9:45
players meeting 9:50
Tee off: 10:00

The Event:
1 round at GW. 24 holes. pins in medium-short. Bag tags go in a hat, get redistributed based on finishing order. I'm considering NOT making a bag tag a requirement though, but offering extra CTP's for bag tag members. Again, I'm looking to get get players that have never played tournaments before interested. I'm thinking an after lunch doubles would probably be in order for those interested in making a day of it. I have gotten some intrest in BYOP doubles event, so thats a posibility as well.

The Entry:
$10 for Pro's. $5 for Ams. Three initial divisions offered (Open, Advanced, Am) will open others as needed. 25% of the purse will go to the Trussville Concrete Fund. 75% goes into payout. 40% of the field gets paid? I hope to have quite a few CTP's.

The Ace Pot:
Optional...$1....My initial thought is to make the Doubles Ace Pot available at this event, but that seems kind of odd. But at the same time it might solicit a couple out of people to come in and take a shot. Right now i'm saying its a no...but i''d be intreseted in peoples input

What I Need:
1) Help. I'm a newbie here.
2) Mini's. I want this to be a primier for players that have never played before so it would be nice to be able to provide mini's to those that don't have them. I know alot of you tournament players have a stash of generic mini's you might could give up.
3) CTP's. Any plastic you're willing to part with. The disc type isn't that important, it would just be nice for them to win _something_. As long as its some plastic thats still in production (I have some X-Clone's i've never thrown that i would feel wierd about giving out as a CTP...seeing as how they haven't been made in 5 years).
4) Feedback...please. :)

If you need a right hand man I'm yours justin. I like the idea so far, just keep me informed with what you need me to do  (The 21st would be better for me personally, I have a wedding to be in on the 29th)

That's why I'm entertaining that date. Unless I get a larg number of people telling me they are going to the SNDC then i'm going to go with the 22nd.

Thanks man!

Just an idea here: What about giving a bag tag to those that enter that do not have one? Only if you have gotten your money back from the sales already. I think the majority of people that are going to buy a tag, have already bought theres. Or maybe give them a discount, $2 or $3. That could go to the payout or concrete fund.

I just think the more people that have one this year, the more that will likely buy one next year.

I deffinetly agree that the more people that purchase this year, the more that are going to purchase next year.

I did consider giving them the bag tags at a discount, but then i realized that it might actually hurt people buying them next year because they're going to think "I can pay $10 now, or wait until the first event and get them for $5" or whatever.

I think alot of people will buy tags that day, they'll get a chance at several extra CTP's and such. I'm pretty sure that the CTP for non-bag tag members is going to be a couple bag tags though. But they won't get those until the end of the event so they won't be eligible for the "bag tag only" CTP's

Ok, it appears the travel to the SNDC's is going to be _very_ light and I would prefer the #1 tag to be up for grabs at the event so the 22nd it is!

I'll get some flyers out later this week. If there is anything you can donate to the cause, be it manpower or plastic let me know!

aw crap...I forgot Hartselle's TVT was this same day. I don't really want to compete with them so I'm probably going to move it to the 29th...or maybe even later. I'll see if i can finalize something by Monday.

Justin,

Personally, I would prefer the 29th. The army has dibs on my time the other date. And as you may remember, I am currently holding #2 (of course that may and most probably will change prior to either of those dates:D ) See you guys on the courses soon.

Yeah, its starting to look more and more like the 29th. Sorry Jeremy.

Everything else is booked with stuff I really don't want to compete with.

Yeah, I know Will...but right now thats looking like the best option for us too. We're just looking for local players so Its not that huge of a deal. I'm just bummed out because I'll have to miss a tourny in Florence. Hate passing up a weekend when I can visit the family AND play in a tourny!
